Good news, bad news. Good news is that most of the hard working restaurant industry folks in Salem are getting a well deserved day off on Christmas day. The bad news, that means there aren't many choices for dining out on December 25th. My email blast to about 40 restaurants in town turned up nothing for holiday openings. I did see that Marco Polo was going to be open. If you have a restaurant that is open, send me an email and I will post it right here.

Burger King will be open too... at least that's what the sign on their west Salem location said.
I want to say we often eat at Hong Kong House (chinese food on Commercial ST S) on Christmases, but maybe I'm thinking of Thanksgivings....?

Cinebarre and Northern Lights are both open on Christmas Day according to their websites.
Almost Home on Market St will be open 6:30 am to 3:00 pm. And by the way, anonymous, not everyone in this town celebrates Christmas - try to be more understanding of people unlike yourself.
There are folks who don't celebrate the day and people (for whatever reason) who are alone and want somewhere to go.
